Moving can be stressful even in the best of times. And these aren’t exactly the best of times, especially in NYC. As professional organizers and move managers who understand the strain of the pandemic, we have implemented extraordinary measures to make each move we orchestrate as smooth and safe as possible. Even if you’re not in town, we really can do it all!

1.

Remote Move Planning

Remote Move Planning provides the foundation for a high quality, well-executed move. It includes a planning phone call, an onsite assessment (you’re on video from wherever you are), our foolproof move checklist, and the acquisition of mover quotes. Following a complimentary initial call, we'll send you comprehensive intake form so we can continue to understand your current project scope. (We know things are in flux!) 

We’re thrilled to have strong relationships with many of NYC's best moving companies, who are highly responsive to our clients and their changing needs. We facilitate introductions, line up appointments on your behalf, and greatly reduce the hurdles from a stressful process.

Once you arrange access to your home, our team member will do a video walk-through with you, both to get a feel for the space and to better understand your needs. She will facilitate several video quotes with movers while you are on the line to give context and clarify any questions. Once you've selected your moving company, you will connect with them to lock in your move date and time. Some dates are going quickly for movers right now & buildings are much more rigid about letting vendors in, so lining up the calendar well takes more finesse than one might expect. We'll also assist with COIs, elevator reservations or whatever other logistics are needed. The move preparation, planning, and expertise we offer sets the tone for a smooth move. Even if you’re miles away, you can rest assured knowing our team is on the scene!

Concierge Move Management

To accommodate your specific needs during the pandemic, we offer extensive a la carte services at an hourly rate. Since you left the city quickly, we are able to take care of things that you may not want to ask of a family member or friend: emptying your fridge and freezer, collecting your mail, returning your cable box or shipping important items like passports or your child’s favorite toy. Please let us know what we can do!

 
 
 

3.

Onsite supervision

On the day of the move, your move manager will arrive at your home to oversee the logistics and make sure everything is executed well on your behalf. The length of this process depends on the building’s current move protocol and pandemic restrictions, how long the movers are on site, and the scope of your project. Please note that movers are practicing social distancing, and frequently sending smaller crews, which means a longer moving time frame.
